After Fest: Super Sunday Workshops added after the close of the festival Uke Fest activities are located in the heart of beautiful, Reed College campus which surrounds the Johnson Creek watershed and is home to abundant wildlife-a perfect setting for learning and relaxation.Each class extends over three consecutive days to deepen your learning and jump start your playing technique and repetoire at any level. To round out your musical experience you can join in other classes such as hula, acoustic bass, and percussion. Repertoire classes include Hawaiian, ragtime, jazz standards, and folk. Ukulele makers and vendors of ukuleles, books, CDs, and accessories be on hand, and the evenings will be filled with entertainment and lots of jamming. These activities are located in the heart of beautiful, Reed College campus which surrounds the Johnson Creek watershed and is home to abundant wildlife-a perfect setting for learning and relaxation.
Concerts on Friday and Saturday evening, will showcase the talents of the teachers, and are open to the public. This will be an awesome convergence of great ukulele and musical talent on one stage, over two nights, and is not to be missed. (The uke fest class design and schedule is based on the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop (PSGW) -- a very cool guitar and music camp that has been running for more than 30 continuous years).
